Martina McBride is releasing a diverse collection of cover songs next year, titled Everlasting. The album is due out March 4, 2014, featuring Martina's take on everything from Aretha Franklin's "Do Right Woman, Do Right Man" to Jimmy Ruffin's "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted." She's posted her version of Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes' "If You Don't Know Me by Now" to YouTube as well. Other artists covered on the album include Elvis Presley, The Supremes and Van Morrison. A duet with Gavin DeGraw on "Bring It on Home to Me" by Sam Cooke is another highlight.
It looks like the music from ABC's Nashville is jumping from the TV screen onto Kelly Clarkson's next album. Kelly is set to appear in Nashville's next episode, airing January 15. The show's producer, Dee Johnson, tells TVLine.com Kelly has also recorded the song "Fade Into You," which Gunnar and Scarlett sang on the show last season.
It seems the end is near for Country Music Hall of Fame member Ray Price. The 87-year-old singer has been battling pancreatic cancer since 2011 and has decided to leave East Texas Medical Center in Tyler to receive home hospice care. The cancer has now spread to his liver, intestines and lungs.
