Shinedown frontman Brent Smith and guitarist Zach Myers are ready to repeat the thrill of releasing a collection of acoustic cover songs. The bandmates released their first acoustic EP, Acoustic Sessions, under the name Smith & Myers on January 28, but four of the tracks they had wanted to include were held up awaiting clearance. All but one of those songs -- Pearl Jam's "Black" -- have been green-lighted and will comprise the new EP, Acoustic Sessions Part 2. "Black" will be available online only, on Shinedown's YouTube channel.
The Black Keys and Damon Albarn have been tapped to headline this year's Latitude Festival, which is scheduled to take place July 17-20 at Henham Park in Southwold, England. Other acts on the event's bill include James, Tame Impala, Conor Oberst, The Afghan Whigs, Two Door Cinema Club, Crystal Fighters, and many others.
